# QHSEtech public research data

Documentation updated 26 September 2026. This is a documentation date, not a new check of every vendor source.

## Files and status

- software.json: vendor-documentation research with per-profile sources, dates, capabilities, qualified pricing and unresolved questions. The complete repository catalog; evidence_status distinguishes sourced research from pending-review legacy listings.
- evidence-review.json: current export coverage and individual research dates. Read this file for the count instead of assuming a fixed catalog size.
- software.schema.json: JSON Schema for the export envelope and core evidence fields. Additional legacy fields are allowed; structural validity does not prove factual accuracy.
- qhse-software-transparency-2026.csv: one row per researched profile, A-Z, computed from the evidence by scripts/build-report-data.mjs for the industry report: published price (yes/no: a current amount is on record under the site's Published-price rule, which is not always an entry price for the whole product), price status, whether the amount can be read as a price point, pricing basis, units, billing period, currency, stated minimum purchase, trial status (verified-free, request-only, not-established), offline status where classified (otherwise not-assessed), capability-status counts, source count, checked_on, profile URL and pricing source URL. Two kinds of absence are kept apart: a price status marked "vendor does not publish" means the evidence says the reviewed vendor pages show no (current or paid) amount; "not-established" and amount-not-established mean the research could not confirm it, not that the vendor lacks it. An empty cell is not applicable or not stated, never zero. trial_status comes from each profile's trial status; the older yes/no trial flag in software.json can also say yes for a trial offered on request. Each row carries the CC BY 4.0 licence. Disclosure: The QHSE Standard is Dimitris Mitsios's personal project, not a company. Tekmon, where Dimitris works in marketing, pays for sponsored placements; they are labelled and sit apart from the documented-match ordering. The site receives no referral fees. Tekmon's profile is counted in this dataset like every other.
- rankings.json and rankings.csv: historical, unverified June 2026 rankings retained for compatibility. Not current recommendations.
- rankings.schema.json: JSON Schema for the historical rankings envelope. The archive contains 7 lists, 40 positions and 25 distinct vendor IDs; names may reflect historical branding. Schema validation does not validate their ranking or current product identity.

## Which date to cite

- Catalog `as_of` and `version`: the catalog migration snapshot (2026-09-20, 2026.09).
- Profile `evidence_checked_on`: the source review date. Read narrower `review_scope_note` and `commercial_review` dates and limits where supplied.
- `evidence-review.json` / `latest_review`: the latest individual review, not a common check date for all profiles.
- Rankings `as_of` and `version`: the historical snapshot (2026-06-22, 2026.06).
- Your retrieval date: when you obtained the file. Keep that original copy for reproducibility; these URLs do not promise immutable content.

## Interpretation

Read offering_type before treating an entry as a software application. SafetyDocs is classified as document-templates, with per-document or bundle purchases rather than a software subscription. Its profile and pricing structured data use Product, not SoftwareApplication.

Use evidence_checked_on and any narrower review_scope_note or commercial_review. A file refresh does not mean every source was rechecked. Preserve missing prices and ratings as unknown, not zero. Do not infer product capabilities from category tags or convert a company quote into a per-seat price.

Top-level as_of and version identify the catalog migration snapshot, not a universal source-check date. Prices do not share a common currency or billing basis. Read each product's pricing details, including any unconfirmed currency.

Research is based on vendor documentation, not hands-on testing. Source availability and product configuration vary. Read https://qhsetech.com/methodology for research and commercial disclosures.

## License and attribution

QHSEtech-authored research data is available under CC BY 4.0: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Suggested citation: QHSEtech / The QHSE Standard, product or dataset title, profile evidence date, retrieval date, source URL, CC BY 4.0. Indicate changes when adapting the data.

Third-party statistics, images, logos, vendor materials and third-party reviews are not relicensed by this feed. Do not transfer external ratings into QHSEtech first-party review aggregates. A null rating is unknown; a zero review count here does not mean that a vendor has no reviews elsewhere. Credit the material and licence, indicate changes and retain supplied notices without implying endorsement; the linked licence contains the full terms.

## Reuse and discovery

Start at https://qhsetech.com/datasets. Preserve stable product IDs, source URLs, dates and limitations in downstream copies. Link to the original product profile when citing a product claim. JSON files can be used without the authenticated REST API.

Use https://qhsetech.com/research for citation guidance and https://qhsetech.com/press for editorial context and the limits of the separate historical pricing extract. The pricing snapshot population can differ from this catalog; a scheduled recalculation does not recheck vendor pricing pages.

The 2026 industry report is computed from the researched profiles: its findings, method, limits, the transparency CSV above and a direct PDF link are at https://qhsetech.com/2026-report. It counts vendor documentation for the listed products; it is not a buyer survey, a random market sample or hands-on testing. For external statistics, cite the original publisher and retain the figure's period, population, unit and source table or page.

Check response status and Content-Type before parsing: an HTML challenge is not the dataset. The presence of a feed or llms.txt is not a promise of indexing or citation by any search or answer engine.
