    Offline EHS software: compare the complete workflow

    An offline label does not tell you whether a worker can start a new inspection, attach evidence and finish an approval without connectivity. Compare the exact app, plan and workflow before choosing a product.

    This comparison covers eight products reviewed from vendor documentation. Source dates appear with each product. The demo checks are our evaluation protocol; we have not run these workflows in customer accounts.

    Five checks that change the buying decision

    1. Preparation: sign in and download templates, assets and reference data with the intended user role.
    2. Starting offline: enable airplane mode before opening a new inspection. Continuing an existing record is a separate test.
    3. Evidence: add a photo, required answers and a corrective action. Close and reopen the app to check the saved draft.
    4. Synchronization: reconnect and inspect the result on a second device. Check attachments, timestamps, duplicate records and conflicting edits.
    5. Operating limits: record app version, device, licensed modules, cached data and steps that still require a connection.

    Use the same synchronization acceptance check

    Reconnect; check the saved record, photo, timestamps, assignee and audit trail on a second device. Retry a failed upload and check for duplicates or conflicts.

    Record a result as demonstrated, partly demonstrated, not demonstrated or untested. Keep an unresolved question open until the vendor demonstrates it in the quoted scope. A public walkthrough or video can explain a feature, but cannot establish behavior when your own device loses connectivity.
