    Frequently Asked Questions

    How long does it take?
About 8-12 minutes if you know your management system. The 25 questions span all 7 ISO 45001:2018 clauses.
    How accurate is the score?
It's a self-assessment — accurate enough to identify gaps and plan remediation, but not a substitute for a Stage 1 audit by an accredited certification body. Use it to scope your gap analysis project.
    What does each score mean?
0 = Not started, 1 = Initiated (talked about), 2 = In progress (partial implementation), 3 = Implemented (fully in place), 4 = Embedded (working AND verified through internal audit). Be honest — overestimating doesn't help you certify.
Will the PDF report help with my gap analysis?
Yes. The PDF lists your weakest clauses, recommended next actions per clause, and benchmark scores you should target before booking a Stage 1 audit.
What's the typical cost & timeline of certification?
Stage 1 + Stage 2 audit fees range from $5K (small org) to $50K+ (large multi-site). Add internal preparation cost. Total timeline from gap analysis to certification: 6-18 months depending on starting maturity. See our certification cost guide for detail.
