How Mapistry charges
Mapistry charges an annual licence per location on three tiers. For one location that is $10,998 for Essentials, $18,998 for Advanced and $26,998 for Enterprise, with unlimited users on every tier.
These are the page's one-location view. A location selector that runs in the page script lowers the per-location amount as the location count rises, and the record notes the script has no row for 50 or more locations.
The one-location view is the top of a descending scale, so a company with several sites should read the selector columns, not the headline. For 2 locations the amounts are $7,998, $13,998 and $19,998, and for 20 locations $2,998, $5,998 and $10,998. The 20-location Enterprise figure equals the one-location Essentials figure of $10,998, so a higher location count can offset a move up a tier.
The record lists only the one, two and 20 location views, so the amounts for other counts must be read from the live selector or quoted, and the script has no row for 50 or more locations. A company above that size should expect a written quote, not a figure read from the page.
Unlimited users on every plan means headcount does not set the price: the location count does. Comparing Mapistry with a per-user product therefore needs the number of people who would use it divided into the annual per-location amount, not the list prices side by side.
Contracts are typically one year, with multi-year terms discounted, but the record gives no discount rate and does not say whether the per-location amount is held at renewal. Ask for the renewal price in writing, and for the multi-year price beside the one-year price so the discount can be judged.
Onboarding is estimated at 4 to 20 hours per location. That range is wide, so ask which features of a site put it at the high end, and treat the hours as staff time on your side as well as the vendor's unless the quote says otherwise. The record asks for one-time services for setup and edits to be listed.
The webinar page says Maple AI data is sent to OpenAI and cannot be used to train its models under the vendor's enterprise agreement, and the record advises reviewing this with your data owner. The home and pricing pages state SOC 2 Type 1. A Type 1 report describes control design at a point in time, so ask whether a report covering operating effectiveness over a period exists.

What each Mapistry plan covers, as recorded
- Essentials
- The entry tier and the lowest of the three amounts for one location; the features that Advanced and Enterprise add are not part of it.
- Advanced
- Includes mobile data capture, AI-assisted file import, a calculation builder and limit alerts on top of the entry tier.
- Enterprise
- Includes API data capture, single sign-on and custom dashboards on top of Advanced.
- Maple AI
- A webinar page calls it an enterprise-tier add-on while the pricing page lists AI-assisted file import from Advanced, so which plan includes it is unresolved.
- Unlimited users
- Stated on every plan, so adding a person does not change the price; adding a location does.
- Scope of the product
- Environmental only: other safety and quality processes sit outside it, so the licence is not the cost of a wider programme.
Editorial quote checklist
What to ask Mapistry to put in the quote
Questions prepared by The QHSE Standard from the recorded terms and gaps; they are not statements from Mapistry.
- A written quote for your own number of locations: the one-location view is the highest per-location amount, and lower amounts appear only through the selector.
- Which tier includes Maple AI, and whether it is priced as an add-on by location count.
- One-time services for setup and edits, and how the onboarding estimate of 4 to 20 hours per location applies to your sites.
- The currency behind the dollar sign and the tax treatment, since the page names neither; contracts are typically one year, with multi-year terms discounted.
- An inspection run on a phone with no signal, showing what syncs and when. Offline behaviour and app platforms are described only briefly.
- A limit set on a logged value and a reading entered near it, showing who is alerted and when.
- A real waste manifest uploaded and its review screen shown.
- The price for every location count you expect to reach over the term, including any count above the ones the selector shows.
