    Where the two scopes differ

These records describe different problems, and the overlap is narrow. The Everbridge record covers emergency communication: two-way alerts through several channels to groups chosen by role or place, packages for wider critical-event coordination, and a travel-risk application with itinerary, optional GPS and check-in features. The Lisam record covers chemical and environmental compliance: safety data sheet and label authoring from formulations for regional GHS modules, EU poison-centre notifications, volume tracking, a workplace chemical inventory, and a separate set of EHS applications for incidents, audits and compliance calendars. A buyer comparing them is choosing between two kinds of work before choosing between two vendors.

Commercial shape also differs. Everbridge's pricing page shows Core as starting under $9,000 with Professional and Enterprise by sales, and the record notes that billing period, recipient numbers, countries and support are not stated; Travel Protector and the optional Everbridge Assist are scoped on their own. The Lisam record finds no amount for any module and lists four product lines to price separately: ExESS, PubliChem, Lisam Chemicals and EHS. For the ExESS authoring tool the record lists installation on one machine, on a company network or in the cloud, a choice the Everbridge record does not describe.

Data upkeep and assurance are the third difference. Each product depends on a feed the buyer owns: contact records for Everbridge, product and formulation data for Lisam. Both vendors state a SOC 2 Type II examination, and Everbridge also names ISO/IEC 27001; the Lisam announcement ties its SOC 2 statement to ExESS, ComplyStation and three applications. No report or certificate was reviewed for either, and both records leave disconnected operation unproven.

When each is the safer first demo

    Start with Everbridge when

Lead with Everbridge when the first need is reaching a roster during an event and proving who responded. Ask to see a message to one site group, a recipient with no usable channel and another who answers late, and ask which package, application or assistance service each step needs.

    Start with Lisam when

Lead with Lisam when the first need is regulatory paperwork for chemical products. Ask to see one mixture changed in the ERP, the revised SDS and label produced in two regional modules, and the EU notification status, then ask which of the four product lines the quote includes.

    A two-week evaluation plan

    Ask Everbridge

    • Ask for Core, Professional, Enterprise, Travel Protector and any assistance service as separate lines, with the billing period, recipient allowance and countries behind the published starting figure.
    • Ask which contact-feed method fits your HR system, how often it runs and who corrects a record with a missing number.

    Ask Lisam

    • Ask for modules, regional content, EU notification, volume tracking, inventory users and ERP interfaces as separate lines, and for the product line each belongs to.
    • Ask which mobile applications work without a connection, and for the cached data and synchronisation rules written down.

Week 1: prepare a sample from your real data, a roster of staff with sites and mobile numbers for Everbridge and a handful of formulations or chemical records for Lisam, and load it through the route you would use. Count rejected or incomplete records, note who fixes each and how long the fix takes. No verified free trial appears in either record; agree a vendor-run setup, named test recipients and dates beforehand.

Week 2: run the stress case for each. In Everbridge, send a drill to one site with a silent recipient and an unreachable one, then read the confirmation states and export the report. In Lisam, change a formulation, regenerate documents in two regional modules and, if relevant, follow a spill or inspection through the mobile app with the connection off. Finish by listing every extra order the exercises revealed.

    Worked evaluation scenarios

These scenarios are hypothetical. They show how to turn the record facts into a demo test and what outcome would change a choice; they are not case studies or customer results.

Hypothetical: a solvent store spill that must reach people and paperwork

A coatings plant wants a spill in its solvent store to reach the right people within minutes and to leave a record that drives corrective work. The Everbridge record describes two-way alerts, group and location targeting, and escalation that stops when a response quota is met, with delivery and acknowledgement to be tested separately. The Lisam record describes an incident application covering spills and releases, with corrective actions and notifications, and does not describe mass alerting. Raise a test spill in each product using the same fifteen-person roster, and note who is told, by which channel, how a silent recipient is flagged and what the closing record contains. If one product only informs licensed users, add the missing alert path to the cost.

Hypothetical: a formulator with 400 staff, 300 mixtures and one project budget

A formulator with 400 employees and 300 mixtures can fund only one project this year, and each product depends on data the company already holds. The Everbridge record describes contact feeds from HR systems through Contact Integration, an API or file upload, and notes that missing mobile numbers can start in the feed. The Lisam record describes ERP links as project work to scope, with real-time and batch options. Offer each vendor a realistic sample, 200 staff records or 50 formulations, and ask what is rejected, why and who corrects it. If correction falls to your team in both cases, treat the data work, not the licence, as the larger cost.

Hypothetical: a process area where the network drops out

A site's process area has patchy mobile coverage and a fenced yard with none. The Everbridge record separates SMS or voice delivery from an administrator's ability to work offline, and lists disconnected administration as unverified. The Lisam record cites a homepage statement that EHS processes can be captured offline, while its audits and app pages describe mobile and desktop apps without documenting offline use. Run one exercise per product: an administrator or inspector loses connection mid-task, and a recipient without data or signal is on the list. Record what stops, what is queued and what the user sees on return. If the homepage claim cannot be shown in the application you would buy, treat offline work as unproven.

What the records do not establish

    Everbridge

    • The billing period, recipient allowance or included support behind the Core starting figure, and any Professional or Enterprise price.
    • Disconnected administration, or reliable delivery to a recipient without a signal.
    • That Travel Protector or Everbridge Assist come with the Core package.
    • The content of the SOC 2 report or ISO/IEC 27001 certificate.

    Lisam

    • A price for any module, or a free trial.
    • Offline capture in a named application, with cached data and synchronisation rules.
    • That the ERP links are packaged connectors rather than scoped projects.
    • The content of the SOC 2 report behind the announcement.

    Neither product

    • Which tool suits a combined chemical and emergency programme: the two address different work and nothing was measured.
    • Message delivery reliability, authoring accuracy or customer satisfaction: neither record offers outcome or review data on them.
    • Hands-on test results for either product.

Written from the profile records and the decision guide above, not from a hands-on test. Where a record is silent, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
