    Beamex CMX

Beamex CMX manages instrument and reference records, calibration procedures, schedules, results, uncertainty calculations, histories and reports. Supported Beamex calibrators and bMobile extend execution into the field, including prepared offline work, while optional controls, analytics and Business Bridge support regulated workflows and maintenance-system handoffs. Buyers should validate edition, version, deployment, hardware, options and integrations against a complete calibration-and-review scenario.

    Evidence: Researched profile

Built from vendor sources checked ; AI-assisted drafting. Documentation review, not a hands-on test. How pages are made

    Who is Beamex CMX for?

Calibration, maintenance and quality teams needing controlled procedures, durable instrument histories and governed field-to-review workflows, especially in regulated or multi-site operations. CMX Professional, Enterprise, advanced options, bMobile, Mobile Security Plus, Analytics Dashboard, Business Bridge and calibrator hardware must be scoped separately. Claims about 21 CFR Part 11 support do not constitute validation of the buyer's configured intended use. A successful as-left calibration or closed maintenance work order does not resolve the impact of an earlier as-found failure on prior product or process measurements.

A shortlist candidate where calibration procedures, field execution, uncertainty, records and reviews must remain traceable. Evaluate the complete configured ecosystem—not CMX in isolation—through an out-of-tolerance event, an offline round trip and a failed integration message, then price software, options, hardware, validation and lifecycle support together.

    Capabilities and scope

This profile covers Beamex CMX calibration management software. LOGiCAL is a separate calibration product; bMobile is a companion application used with CMX or LOGiCAL; Analytics Dashboard, Business Bridge, advanced options and Beamex calibrators are separately scoped components rather than automatic CMX entitlements.

1 additional areas. Status describes reviewed sources, not hands-on performance.

Also watch for: No public numeric CMX licence price or self-service CMX trial was verified. Many regulated, mobile, analytics and integration functions are edition- or option-dependent. Deployment validation, migration, interfaces, devices and hardware materially affect total scope.

    Beamex CMX pricing

Quote by CMX edition and configuration

Official pricing and demo links lead to a quote request with no numeric CMX licence price. Request CMX Professional or Enterprise, workstation/floating/cloud deployment, named advanced options, bMobile and Mobile Security Plus, Analytics Dashboard, Business Bridge, calibrators and references, migration, validation, training, support and upgrades separately. A free bMobile download/demo is not a CMX licence or production trial.

Pricing sources checked : Partially verified. Official pages provide quote and demo routes and distinguish CMX Professional, Enterprise, installation models and optional components.

Which product scope should the quote cover?

The quoted CMX edition and version, deployment, named options, user model, bMobile devices, compatible calibrators, Analytics Dashboard and Business Bridge interfaces. LOGiCAL, reference/calibrator hardware, validation services and automatic affected-product disposition are outside the base scope unless explicitly contracted and demonstrated.

Ask the vendor to identify the product, region, modules, billing unit, contract term and included services in writing.

Prepared bMobile tasks offline; creation, transfer and review remain scoped

Beamex documents prepared offline execution in bMobile, followed by transfer to CMX or LOGiCAL when online. The bMobile manual says CMX instruments cannot be created, edited or copied in bMobile, and advanced inspection, weighing and Mobile Security Plus functions require activation in CMX. Demonstrate assignment, loss of connection, duplicate/interrupted transfer and review on the proposed versions and devices.

    Demo script

Demo exercise: as-found failure to product-impact review

    1. Prepare a fictional instrument with serial number, position, approved procedure revision, reference records and uncertainty inputs.
    2. Record an as-found failure, separate adjustment and as-left result without replacing the original evidence.
    3. Route the event through configured signatures and approval while preserving timestamps, user, reasons and audit trail.
    4. Trace earlier instrument uses and calibrator/reference history; leave missing production identifiers visibly unresolved.
    5. Export both calibration evidence and the accountable quality disposition, showing that an as-left pass alone did not close impact review.

Demo exercise: offline bMobile round trip and recovery

    1. Prepare and assign a calibration plus maintenance-inspection checklist from CMX to the intended device.
    2. Disconnect the device, complete readings, photos/notes if supported, a deviation and electronic-signature step.
    3. Interrupt the first transfer, reconnect and retry while checking duplicates, partial results and assignment state.
    4. Have a separate reviewer reject one result, preserve the original and complete the corrected workflow.
    5. Revoke or replace the device/user and verify access, local data handling and final CMX audit history.

Demo exercise: ERP work order through calibration completion

    1. Create a representative ERP/CMMS work order and transfer the required asset, procedure and schedule fields through Business Bridge.
    2. Introduce a missing identifier and a rejected message, then inspect queues, alerts, ownership and replay behavior.
    3. Execute and approve the calibration in CMX using the intended field route.
    4. Return acknowledgement and result summary without treating maintenance closure as prior-product disposition.
    5. Reconcile statuses, timestamps and identifiers across both systems and export the exception log.

Ask the vendor to show you

    1. Which CMX edition, version, deployment and advanced options are included?
    2. Which instrument, reference, procedure, uncertainty and result fields are retained with each calibration event?
    3. How are as-found, adjustment and as-left results preserved, signed, approved and changed?
    4. Which bMobile platforms, CMX version, Sync route and Mobile Security Plus controls are supported?
    5. How are interrupted transfers, duplicates, stale assignments and devices revoked or reconciled?
    6. Which 21 CFR Part 11 controls are configured, and what validation documentation and responsibilities are included?

    Questions the sources answer

Are CMX, LOGiCAL and bMobile the same product?

No. CMX and LOGiCAL are separate calibration-management products. bMobile is a companion app used with either; licences, supported versions and transfer architecture must be named explicitly.

Which CMX edition includes advanced controls?

CMX Professional and Enterprise differ, and Professional lists advanced functions as optional while Enterprise includes many advanced features as standard. Business Bridge and support arrangements still need separate confirmation from the edition/option matrix and quote.

Does CMX compliance language eliminate validation work?

No. Beamex documents controls intended to support electronic records, signatures, data integrity and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, but the buyer must validate the configured system for intended use and operate approved procedures.

Does an as-left pass clear previous measurements?

No. Preserve the original as-found failure and investigate the actual instrument-use window, process or batch links, risk and accountable quality disposition.

Can CMX connect to SAP or IBM Maximo?

Business Bridge is documented for ERP/CMMS work-order integration, including named systems. Confirm the exact system/version, fields, status mappings, middleware, monitoring and error ownership.

Does CMX Analytics automatically set safe calibration intervals?

The dashboard provides trends, forecasts and risk indicators that can support interval review. Qualified metrology and quality roles should approve changes using procedure, uncertainty, history and criticality evidence.
