    EHS Hero

The pages describe EHS Hero as a set of connected tools for incident and near-miss reporting, audits and inspections, hazard communication and safety data sheets, job hazard analysis, regulatory permit records and corrective and preventive actions. They also describe regulatory updates, a plan builder and instructor-led training materials from BLR's in-house EHS experts. An Advanced Analytics layer adds dashboards and AI-assisted questions across incident, audit, action and training data.

    Who is EHS Hero for?

US-focused organisations with several sites that want incident, audit, chemical, job hazard and action records tied to OSHA and EPA guidance from one vendor. The pages describe US regulatory content (OSHA, EPA, DOT); coverage for other countries is not described. The permit tool is described as a record keeper for regulatory permits and renewals; other approval processes are not described. Offline use, integrations with other business systems, single sign-on and security attestations are not described.

Watch for: No price, plan or unit is published. Offline use, integrations and security attestations are not described. Regulatory content is described only for US agencies.

    Capabilities and scope

EHS Hero is the EHS software and regulatory-content platform of BLR, which its pages describe as a division of Simplify Compliance LLC in Brentwood, Tennessee. A release dated 25 February 2021 (Training Industry copy) states that Simplify Compliance, then a Leeds Equity Partners portfolio company, acquired BasicSafe, a web-based EHS workflow system, and describes EHS Hero as an existing platform. That is the 2021 statement; current ownership was not checked. BasicSafe is not an alias, although the vendor's EHS pages link the EHS Hero management tool to a basicsafe.blr.com address. This profile covers the EHS Hero management tools and their regulatory content, not HR Hero or the separately sold TrainingToday courses. The vendor states that EHS Hero received a Top Product of the Year recognition from the Environment+Energy Leader awards, in a release dated 10 April 2025.
