    HammerTech

HammerTech supports construction worker orientations, qualification records, permits, pre-task plans and field inspections. Its published workflow includes review and approval of worker orientation information. Inspect supports offline inspections and issue handling, while Reporting and Insights describes project and business-wide trends. The documented Irongate connection introduces separate physical access-control hardware.

    Evidence: Researched profile

Built from vendor sources checked ; AI-assisted drafting. Documentation review, not a hands-on test. How pages are made

    Who is HammerTech for?

General contractors digitalising orientations, permits and subcontractor operations on project sites. Do not treat orientation completion as proof of competence or authorization for every task. Offline permit decisions, subcontractor record retention after exit and specific regulatory submission outputs require demonstration. Construction-volume pricing factors do not establish automatic contractual re-rating.

HammerTech may justify a construction-scale quote when a general contractor needs shared site workflows and subcontractor access without separate subcontractor licences. It is less suitable for a small isolated inspection requirement if the complete operations-based commitment exceeds the value of the demonstrated workflow.

Watch for: No public numeric subscription price or contract term established. Hardware support and integration implementation need written scope.

    Capabilities and scope

HammerTech is a construction safety and site operations platform. HT Mobile and HammerTech Inspect are application lookup terms, not proof of identical workflows. This review uses North American product and help pages; confirm regional content and the apps used in your deployment.

HammerTech capabilities, evidence status and source links
    CapabilityEvidenceScope and source
Worker orientations and qualificationsDocumented by vendor

Configurable orientation content and quizzes, worker training records and expiry alerts are described. Workers can complete onboarding without a paid individual licence; records need review and do not themselves establish competence.

Orientation and worker recordsOrientation review and approval
Orientation approval and signaturesDocumented by vendor

Help instructions separate worker submission from reviewer approval or rejection and describe checking identity details, photo and licences plus signature options. General-contractor-only comments are explicitly described.

Permits and pre-task planningDepends on scope

Named permit and PTP products support connected work preparation. PTP pages describe links to JHAs, permits and equipment plus crew sign-offs; offline approval was not established.

Inspect advertises offline inspections and issue handling. Verify attachment and synchronization behavior rather than extending this claim to all platform workflows.

    Reporting and InsightsDocumented by vendor

Published Insights scope includes project and business-wide leading and lagging trends. The FAQ distinguishes administrator report creation from standard-user access and describes project-based visibility; this is not evidence of incident-reduction performance.

    Reporting and Insights
    Physical site-access integrationDepends on scope

Irongate supplies access hardware while HammerTech supplies worker and compliance information. Confirm commercial ownership, outage handling and retention. Any caution that HammerTech software alone does not stop a worker entering a site applies to the software: the vendor access-control page says Irongate gate hardware automatically denies entry to workers with missing orientations or expired credentials, so test the gate with a lapsed credential. The vendor states biometric data is handled by Irongate and not stored in HammerTech.

    Irongate access-control scope
Configurable inspection programs and checklistsDocumented by vendor

HammerTech describes configurable safety, quality, defect and environmental inspection types plus pre-configured checklist prompts. Treat this as configurable inspection scope, not proof that a supplied template is complete for a particular law, standard or project.

Inspection finding assignment and subcontractor closeoutDocumented by vendor

Inspection issues can be assigned to a responsible trade, with notifications and subcontractor portal routes to manage, dispute or close the item. Confirm role permissions, required evidence, reminder rules and approval of closure; the page does not establish disconnected dispute or closeout behavior.

Time-stamped inspection evidence and live issue statusDocumented by vendor

The inspection page describes retrievable, time-stamped inspections, photos and resolutions plus a live view of open, overdue and unresolved items. Validate export completeness, change history, retention and whether a closeout can be reopened; a status dashboard is not independent proof that the underlying control was effective.

Named integrations and Open APIDepends on scope

HammerTech lists named connections including Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Irongate, Eyrus, Kwant, Acumatica and LUMA1 and states that an Open API is available. Confirm the contracted connector, field mapping, direction, frequency, API entitlement, implementation owner, failure recovery and support; a partner listing or API statement does not establish a deployed interface.

Fall protection section in high-risk inspection checklistDepends on scope

HammerTech distributes a High Risk Safety Inspection sheet whose fall protection section asks whether the system is set up correctly, whether the personal fall arrest system (anchor point, harness, lanyard) was inspected, whether falling-object protection is in place and whether a rescue plan exists for work at height. This is a downloadable template; the pages reviewed do not show it as a preinstalled form, and they do not describe an equipment register or harness expiry tracking. A blog post states that inspections in the product can carry photos, alerts and recorded corrections.

    HammerTech pricing

    Quote-only, scaled to operations

On 26 September 2026 the pricing page shows no amount. Its FAQ says HammerTech does not use per-user pricing; pricing reflects annual construction volume, company size and operational complexity, active job sites and the level of onboarding and support, with tailored pricing after a needs review ("Get Pricing Details"). Core safety workflows, implementation and onboarding, training, ongoing support, knowledge hub access, integrations and enterprise-grade security are described as included, with no separate modules to buy. Subcontractors do not need to purchase a licence; access is provided by the general contractor managing the project. Confirm the named connectors, any hardware, billing term and renewal or scope-change terms in the proposal; inclusion language does not settle every implementation detail.

Pricing sources checked : Partially verified. Eleven linked product and help pages were accessible; the bare hammertech.com homepage failed retrieval. Confirmed included core workflows, subcontractor access and Insights trend reporting. No numeric fee, billing currency, contract term, renewal formula or full-platform trial established.

Which product scope should the quote cover?

Construction worker onboarding, subcontractor collaboration, permits, pre-task plans, inspections and reporting. The pricing page describes included core safety workflows rather than per-module pricing. Confirm specialist interfaces, hardware and implementation deliverables in writing.

Ask the vendor to identify the product, region, modules, billing unit, contract term and included services in writing.

    Offline work and integrations

HammerTech Inspect advertises offline inspections and raising and closing issues, using the existing HammerTech login. Test preparation, disconnected capture and synchronization using the exact application and role in the proposal.

    What we could not verify

    Demo script

Proposed demo: worker induction before planned work

    1. Have a trade worker submit site-specific orientation and a credential with a deliberate missing item.
    2. Ask the reviewer to reject it, request correction and capture the required signature.
    3. Approve the corrected record and retrieve its status and supporting evidence. Do not equate completion with competence.

Proposed demo: offline inspection and permit boundary

    1. Prepare Inspect and disconnect before recording an inspection finding with a photo.
    2. Raise or close an issue and reconnect to inspect the received record, owner and attachments.
    3. Separately attempt the required permit and pre-task-plan steps while offline, recording what is blocked and the agreed contingency.

Proposed demo: contractor exit and reporting traceability

    1. Restrict an external supervisor to the intended project and inspect an Insights report appropriate to that role.
    2. Trace one displayed trend to its source records and explain report-creation permissions.
    3. Demobilise the subcontractor and export the agreed worker evidence, documenting retention, retrieval and exit responsibilities.

Ask the vendor to show you

    1. Put the device in airplane mode, then attempt a permit, a pre-task plan and an orientation, not only an inspection, and show what is possible and what is blocked.
    2. Generate a completed OSHA 300 log and 300A for one establishment from records already in the system, open the underlying 301 detail, and produce the ITA submission file. Name every step that is manual or leaves the platform.
    3. Produce, for one named tier-3 worker on one named date, the orientation record, the credential and its expiry, the permit they worked under and the pre-task plan they signed, as one exportable file from our own data.
    4. Demobilise a subcontractor in front of us. Show what the sub keeps and what we keep, export one worker's full orientation history with photos, signatures and audit trail, and state in writing how we retrieve that record three years after our contract with you ends.
    5. Show the Irongate arrangement as a contract structure: line-item price, who holds warranty and field support, and exactly what worker data the gate captures, including any facial or fingerprint template, where it is stored and for how long.
    6. Run one Spanish-speaking worker through orientation end to end on a shared site tablet, content, quiz and sign-off, and show the record the general contractor receives.

    Questions the sources answer

Are core workflows charged per module?

The current pricing page describes all core safety workflows as included and says pricing is based on operational scale and complexity rather than individual modules. Confirm named connectors, hardware and implementation deliverables in the proposal.

Does completing induction approve a worker?

The help documentation describes a separate review with approval or rejection, licence checks and signature options. A completed form or quiz alone is not evidence that a worker is competent or authorized for a specific task.

    Are reporting and trends available?

The Insights page documents leading and lagging trends across projects and the business, with access aligned to project permissions. Ask to see the required metrics and underlying records; do not assume a particular OSHA submission output from this reporting claim.

    Is there a free trial?

A demo request is available. A public full-platform free trial and its duration were not established in this review.

Does physical access control require hardware?

The documented access-control connection uses Irongate hardware with HammerTech worker information. Confirm hardware pricing, support, outage behavior and data responsibilities, including the separate treatment of biometric information.
