What Buyers Search For: 188 QHSE Software Brands

Ten of the 188 QHSE, EHS and ESG software products we measured hold 46% of all brand searches. The median product gets 720 searches a month, and among the products searched 1,000 times or more, 35 fell year on year while 17 rose. What that does and does not tell a buyer.

How often do people look for a QHSE software product by name? We measured it for 188 of the 212 products in our directory, using Google Ads Keyword Planner for September 2025 to August 2026, and this article explains what the numbers show and what they cannot show. The full table, with the query measured for each product, is on the search demand page, and every figure below comes from the same file.
A brand search is a person typing a product name. It counts curiosity, existing customers looking for a login page, job seekers and competitors as well as buyers, so it measures how well known a name is, not how many people use the product, how good it is or how much it sells.
The shape of demand
Demand is concentrated. The 188 products add up to 632,320 brand searches a month, and the ten most searched products account for 46% of them. The top five hold 31% and the top 20 hold 62%. At the other end, 37 products (20%) are searched fewer than 100 times a month, and the median product is searched 720 times.
| Monthly searches for the product name | Products |
|---|---|
| 10,000 or more | 12 |
| 1,000 to 9,999 | 74 |
| 100 to 999 | 65 |
| Fewer than 100 | 37 |
The most searched names are MaintainX (49,500 a month), Fieldwire by Hilti and ISNetworld (40,500 each), HammerTech and UpKeep (33,100 each), Everbridge (27,100), Tractian (22,200), and Greetly, Kizeo Forms and MasterControl (14,800 each). Several of these are products that the broader market also uses outside QHSE, such as maintenance, construction and visitor management tools, so a high figure does not mean a product is mainly bought for health, safety, quality or environmental work.
Where the attention sits by category
Grouped by the directory's primary category, the picture changes. Totals add the brand searches of the measured products in a category, each counted once with its single reviewed query, so they show where brand attention sits and not how large a market is.
| Category | Products measured | Median per product | Total monthly searches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asset Management | 6 of 7 | 15,150 | 113,200 |
| Construction Safety | 6 of 7 | 1,810 | 77,400 |
| EHS Management | 36 of 43 | 720 | 68,140 |
| Quality Management | 22 of 22 | 720 | 54,810 |
| Contractor Management | 4 of 4 | 5,450 | 51,660 |
| ESG & Sustainability | 25 of 30 | 720 | 51,240 |
Two readings follow. First, a handful of well-known names carry the small categories: six asset management products hold more brand searches than 36 EHS management products. Second, in the large categories the typical product is far less visible than the headline names, so a buyer who builds a shortlist from the names they have heard of will mostly see the top of the distribution.
Which names moved over the year
Google Ads also reports a year-on-year change for each query. A percentage change on a small query is mostly noise, so we looked only at products searched 1,000 times or more a month that have a reported change. There are 86 of them: 17 rose, 35 fell and 34 did not change, and the median change is 0%. For the two lists below we also left out five of the 86 whose busiest month is at least four times their quietest, because one spike would decide their figure.
That leaves 81 products to rank by change. Among the larger names falling was therefore more common than rising, which is a statement about how often people searched for the name and not about the products.
| Largest increases | Searches a month | Year on year |
|---|---|---|
| Tractian | 22,200 | +83% |
| Coolset | 2,900 | +50% |
| HammerTech | 33,100 | +49% |
| Tekmon | 1,300 | +48% |
| Evotix | 3,600 | +24% |
| Largest decreases | Searches a month | Year on year |
|---|---|---|
| IBM Envizi | 1,300 | −45% |
| Rave Mobile Safety | 1,000 | −38% |
| Microsoft Sustainability Manager | 1,300 | −38% |
| Fluix | 2,400 | −34% |
| Greenlight Guru | 3,600 | −34% |
These lists are sorted by the size of the change. They are not a ranking of products, and a falling brand search is not evidence that a product is getting worse: a rename, a campaign that ended or a product that moved to a parent brand can each do it. Microsoft Sustainability Manager, for example, was renamed Dynamics 365 Sustainability, which can move searches to the new name.
The 24 products without a figure
In all, 24 of the 212 researched profiles are not in the table. For 22 of them the names were reviewed and approved for measurement but Google Ads returned no figure for the approved queries, which usually means the volume is too low to report. Two were left out on purpose: one brand has been retired and one profile is not a software offering. A missing figure is unavailable, not zero. The names and the queries tried are listed on the search demand page and in a second CSV file.
How to use this
For a buyer, brand search volume is a reason to check that you have not missed a well-known name, not a reason to include or exclude one. A product with few brand searches may be sold directly to enterprises, bundled with another system or marketed under a parent name. Use it together with the evidence on each profile: what the vendor documents about the capability, its offline limits, pricing and trial.
For a vendor, the useful reading is relative. If your name sits in the 720-search middle of a large category, a shortlist built from recall will often miss you, and a documented capability page that answers the buyer's question may reach people before the name does.
Method and limits
- The figures are Google Ads Keyword Planner historical metrics: average monthly searches over September 2025 to August 2026, all locations, English, on the Google search network, read on 14 October 2026.
- Each product's queries were reviewed by hand against the vendor's own website. A bare brand name was used only when it clearly identifies the product, and where several reviewed queries exist the highest is used and they are never added together.
- Google counts close variants, so a brand shared with a company, place or common word can include searches that have nothing to do with the software. Where a name is shared, the profile is measured only with a reviewed query.
- Google rounds each figure, so small numbers carry wide uncertainty and the monthly values need not average to the headline number.
- A measurement is treated as current for 45 days. After that it is withdrawn from the optional "most searched" sort in the directory until it is refreshed.
- No rating, review count, AI-generated score or payment is an input to the figures.

FAQ
Do brand searches show which QHSE software to choose?
No. They show how often people looked for a name. A well-known product can have a thin record for the capability you need, and a little-known one can document exactly what you want. Compare products by what each documents, not by how often it is searched.
Why do some well-known QHSE products have no figure?
Either Google Ads returned no figure for the approved queries, usually because the volume is too low to report, or the profile was left out on purpose, for example because the brand has been retired. A missing figure is unavailable, not zero.
Is a falling brand search a warning sign?
Not by itself. Renames, ended campaigns and a shift to a parent brand can all lower the searches for a name. We only report the change for products searched at least 1,000 times a month and leave out those with one-off spikes.
