    Where the two scopes differ

These are the two closest records in the inspection group: each describes checklists, offline capture, a report and an action that has to be closed. The difference a buyer meets first is how the commercial boundary is published. The GoAudits record shows two tiers with limits you can read before a call: Starter with one company, 25 sites, ten templates and two images per question, and Enterprise with unlimited companies, sites and templates, four images per question, extra roles, scheduling and analytics. Its dollar currency and minimum paid seats were not established. The Lumiform record shows no numeric amount for Professional or Enterprise, and places approvals, API, webhooks and single sign-on in Enterprise or in Professional add-ons. One record lets you size the limits; the other makes you ask for them.

The offline sequences are documented differently, which matters for a crew that works out of coverage for a whole shift. The GoAudits record describes preparing the phone while connected, using an Import Settings step to pull changed checklists, locations and permissions, and a separate Preview Report step that synchronises a completed or in-progress audit before Complete and Share. It treats upload, completion and approval of corrective work as distinct states. The Lumiform record describes an outbox where finished results wait for a stable connection, and notes that a new action may need a manual swipe-down sync before the web app shows it. In both, the phone showing a finished form says nothing about what the office can see.

Closing a finding also differs in who takes part. GoAudits describes external or occasional assignees who receive an emailed link without a licence, and an approver who can reject submitted photos or comments; the record says disconnected approval was not established. Lumiform describes actions with owner, priority, deadline, evidence, reminders, chat and third-party assignment, while approval remains package-dependent. On evidence, GoAudits lists e-signatures, timestamps and geolocation and automatic scoring, and Lumiform lists photo annotation, signatures and conditional logic. Neither record treats these as proof of a regulated signature or of tamper-evident custody.

When each is the safer first demo

    Start with GoAudits when

GoAudits is the safer first demo when the decision is mostly about limits and tier: how many sites, templates and photos per question the work needs, and whether scheduling and extra roles justify the upper tier. It also suits a team whose corrective actions are done by outsiders, such as an outside contractor. Run the demonstration on the tier you would actually buy, because the free evaluation includes Enterprise features and therefore overstates what Starter gives you.

    Start with Lumiform when

Lumiform is the safer first demo when the inspection design is the hard part: pages and repeatable sections for a plant with many identical areas, if-then logic that raises an action on a particular answer, and analytics that expose overdue forms by site. Ask early for the quote with approvals, the interface and single sign-on separated, so that the demonstration matches the package that will be written into the order.

    A two-week evaluation plan

    Ask GoAudits

    • Ask for the currency, the minimum number of paid seats, the monthly price if you will not commit annually, and the cost of single sign-on, each on a separate line.
    • Ask what happens to your templates, sites and photo limits if you stay on a lower tier after the free evaluation ends.

    Ask Lumiform

    • Ask for a quote that names the seat minimum, currency and billing term and lists approvals, API, webhooks and each integration separately.
    • Ask whether the voice-to-text feature in the pricing matrix works with the connection off on your devices and in the languages your crews use.

Week 1, identical for both. Build the same checklist with one mandatory field, one conditional branch and a photo requirement. On GoAudits, change the checklist in the portal, import settings while online, disconnect, complete the inspection, then use the documented Preview Report step and confirm the server record and attachments. On Lumiform, complete the same inspection with the connection off, look at the outbox, reconnect and check whether the web app shows the result and the new action without a manual sync.

Week 2, closure and cost. Raise an action from a failed answer and give it to a person who is not a regular user. On GoAudits, reject the first correction as the approver and check what the assignee can open. On Lumiform, check the owner, deadline, chat and change log, and ask what approval is quoted. Then price both for the same number of sites, templates and inspectors over twelve months, reading the GoAudits tier limits against the Lumiform quote line by line.

What the records do not establish

    GoAudits

    • The currency, the minimum paid seats and the monthly price, or what single sign-on costs.
    • Offline browser administration, disconnected email-link actions or offline approval.
    • That a harness checklist from the public library is backed by an equipment register, expiry reminders for individual items or a rescue plan.

    Lumiform

    • A numeric subscription price, or the length and eligibility of a trial.
    • Whether voice-to-text works disconnected by device and language.
    • More than one fall-protection template: only a horizontal lifeline checklist could be retrieved, and no equipment register is documented.

    Neither product

    • Which product is quicker to roll out or cheaper over a contract term: the records give limits and descriptions, not measurements.
    • Whether either keeps an inspection as a locked, tamper-evident record suitable for your regulator.

Written from the profile records and the decision guide above, not from a hands-on test. Where a record is silent, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
