Where the two scopes differ
Both records describe mobile inspections that end in a report and assigned actions, and they draw the edge of the product differently. GoAudits is described as checklists, reports and action plans, with scheduling, extra roles and advanced analytics in Enterprise and caps on companies, sites, templates and images per question in Starter. Mitti is described as a frontline platform with more named modules: inspections and actions, investigations with OSHA 300, 300A and 301 downloads, assigned training, assets, a voice-drafted issue route and a QR route for people without accounts, each with its own conditions, such as plan, seat, app version or connectivity.
Both publish prices, in different units. The GoAudits record gives Starter at 10 and Enterprise at 30 per user a month with annual billing and a 14-day trial that includes Enterprise features, and says the currency and minimum paid seats were not established. The Mitti record gives a Free plan for up to ten users with five active templates, Premium at 24 per seat a month billed annually or 29 monthly excluding tax, a custom Enterprise price and optional location-based pricing, and notes that the page does not say which seat type the Premium figure covers.
Offline use needs preparation in both, through different steps. GoAudits's help centre has the user import settings while online, to pull changed checklists, locations and permissions, then use Preview Report to synchronise an audit before Complete and Share. Mitti's help centre says offline use is for the mobile app only, lists inspections, issues, actions and reports as supported, and names analytics, notifications and the template editor among those unsupported. For outsiders, GoAudits describes emailed action links needing no login or licence, while the Mitti record separates free guest seats from a browser QR route.

When each is the safer first demo
Start with GoAudits when
Start with GoAudits when the requirement is a repeatable site check whose size you can state: companies, sites, templates, photos per question, roles and scheduling decide the tier. Run the demonstration on the tier you would buy, because the free evaluation carries Enterprise features, and watch an outside contractor receive an action by emailed link and an approver reject it.
Start with Mitti (by SafetyCulture) when
Start with Mitti when the number of inspectors, reviewers and occasional contributors is unclear, or when OSHA log preparation, assigned training or a no-account reporting route is on the list. The Free plan and the 14-day Premium trial allow a pilot; the help centre says seat types can be changed only on Premium or Enterprise, so test the seat mix in the trial.
A two-week evaluation plan
Ask GoAudits
- What are the currency, the minimum paid seats and the monthly amount if we do not commit annually, and what does single sign-on add?
- Which of our sites, templates and roles fit Starter once the trial ends, and what changes in the quote if they do not?
Ask Mitti (by SafetyCulture)
- Which seat type does the published Premium price cover, what do lite seats cost, and what does billing do when the trial ends?
- Which exports and integrations does our plan include, and does any of them need a full seat instead of a lite or guest seat?
Week 1, the same checklist in both: one mandatory question, one conditional branch and a photo on a failed answer, wherever each template allows them. In GoAudits, edit the checklist in the portal, import settings while online, disconnect, complete the audit, then use Preview Report and check the server record and attachments. In Mitti, prepare the app, check the sync status, complete the inspection offline, reconnect and compare the office copy; then open analytics and notifications offline to see the documented limits.
Week 2, people outside the core team. Assign a finding to an outsider in each product: by emailed link in GoAudits, and by a guest seat and then the QR route in Mitti. Reject the first correction where the product allows it and see who can still open the record. If OSHA recordkeeping or training matters, create a test establishment and a practical assessment in Mitti. End with a twelve-month cost for the same sites and people.
Worked evaluation scenarios
These scenarios are hypothetical. They show how to turn the record facts into a demo test and what outcome would change a choice; they are not case studies or customer results.
Hypothetical: a retailer with sixty stores and twelve area managers
A retailer wants the same weekly store check in sixty shops, completed by store staff and reviewed by twelve area managers. The GoAudits record lists 25 sites and ten templates for Starter and unlimited sites and templates for Enterprise, with scheduling and extra roles in the upper tier. The Mitti (by SafetyCulture) record offers location-based pricing with unlimited users per location on request, and its help centre lists inspection limits for lite and guest seats. Count the sites first, then ask each vendor to quote sixty stores with the roles you need. In Mitti, confirm what a store manager's seat can do; in GoAudits, confirm which tier covers scheduling. If sites exceed the Starter limit, price Enterprise, and if a seat type blocks store staff, ask for another structure.
Hypothetical: a contractor closing defects for three clients
A maintenance contractor receives defect findings from three client inspectors and sends its own staff to fix them. The GoAudits record describes external or occasional assignees who receive an emailed link without a login or paid licence, and an approver who can reject submitted photos and comments. The Mitti record separates free guest seats from a browser QR route that asks for contact details, and says guest seats are not the same thing as people reporting without accounts. Assign one defect to an outside person in each product, have them submit evidence, reject the first attempt where the product allows it and see what they can still open. If an outsider needs a registered seat for the step you require, or cannot see the rejection reason, adjust the process.
Hypothetical: a checklist edited on Friday and used on Monday with no signal
A quality manager corrects a checklist on Friday afternoon, and an inspector enters a basement site on Monday with no coverage. The GoAudits help article says changed checklists, locations and permissions are pulled to the phone by importing settings, which needs a connection. The Mitti help article says to check syncing settings and sync status before going offline, and lists the template editor among the features unsupported offline. Edit one question in each product, skip the refresh on one phone, go offline and run the inspection, then see which version appears. If a stale version opens without any warning, add a pre-shift check to the procedure; if both phones show the new version, record how each one confirmed it.
What the records do not establish
GoAudits
- The currency, the minimum paid seats and the monthly amount, or what single sign-on costs.
- A disconnected browser workflow, emailed action links used offline, or offline approval.
- That the public harness checklists sit behind an equipment register, item-level expiry reminders or rescue planning.
Mitti (by SafetyCulture)
- Which seat type the Premium amount covers, or any published price for lite seats, Enterprise or location-based plans.
- Offline processing for voice-drafted issues, or direct submission of OSHA data rather than a file prepared for upload.
- That the inspection process works as a governed audit programme with independent closure of corrective actions.
Neither product
- Whether either product is quicker to roll out or cheaper over a contract term: the records rest on vendor documentation, not hands-on testing.
- A verified aggregate review score for either product.
Written from the profile records and the decision guide above, not from a hands-on test. Where a record is silent, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
