    Mitti documents prepared mobile inspections and reports, issue reporting, corrective actions, training, assets and investigations. The Free plan allows 10 active users and unlimited inspections with 5 active templates, and a 14-day Premium trial is documented; on 25 September 2026 the pricing page displayed Premium at $24 per seat per month billed annually or $29 monthly, excluding taxes. Guest seats are free but allow up to 3 inspections, and lite seats 1 a month or 12 a year. Offline use is mobile-only after preparation, with analytics, notifications, lone worker and the template editor unsupported. Account-free QR reporting opens a browser and asks for contact details.     Consider EcoOnline when…

    • You need chemical inventory, SDS records and approval of new substances in one place, and can name the sites and regions that will use Chemical Manager.
    • COSHH assessments need specialist support, and incident, inspection or permit follow-up should sit with the same vendor, with each product scoped separately.
    Published scope

    Chemical Manager covers chemical inventories, SDS version history, chemical approval and substitution workflows and worker exposure records. Sypol prepares a COSHH assessment with specialist support from supplied material, activity and location details; local suitability still needs review. The EHS products cover incidents, inspections, risk assessments and follow-up actions, and the Control of Work range lists Permit to Work, ePermits, contractor management and access control. The EHS brochure qualifies offline work as starting online and continuing after connectivity drops, and Chemical Manager has its own qualification. No numeric subscription price or free trial was established; ESG software powered by Ecometrica is scoped separately.

    Run these three tasks in both demos

    1. Capture an inspection finding with a photo offline, reconnect and compare the synchronised record.

      Acceptance evidence: For Mitti, prepare the template and assets first and check the step against the unsupported offline list. For EcoOnline, also start a new record with no connection, since its EHS brochure describes continuing offline after starting online, and change it on a second device before reconnecting. Inspect attachments, duplicates and the assigned action.

    2. Bring a new chemical into use at one site.

      Acceptance evidence: For EcoOnline, create the chemical request, attach its SDS and show who approves use at the site; if Sypol is quoted, submit a material, activity and location and show how the assessment is reviewed against the actual task. For Mitti, ask how the quoted plan would hold this; our evidence records no chemical workflow, so record it as open scope unless it is shown.

    3. Close a corrective action after rejecting an inadequate closure, export the record, then take a report from someone without an account.

      Acceptance evidence: Name the Mitti plan and seat behind each step and use its account-free QR route, which asks for contact details, so it is not anonymous. Ask EcoOnline to show its equivalent in the quoted app. Exports and integrations depend on the plan at Mitti and on the product at EcoOnline, so show them on what you would buy.

    Keep the decision open if…

    Keep the decision open if a demonstrated step belongs to an EcoOnline product that is not quoted, such as Sypol, Control of Work or the ESG software, if an offline step has only been shown with a connection, or if a Mitti step needs a Premium feature or a full seat that the seat mix lacks. The pages reviewed describe no REACH or CLP regulatory workflow or CSRD output for either vendor; EcoOnline's chemical page advertises compliance intelligence across more than 80 countries, so ask what that covers for your substances and markets. No implementation timeline was established for either vendor, or a contract term for EcoOnline; ask for them in writing.

    Align the proposals

    For Mitti, name the plan and the full, lite and guest seat mix, or ask for per-location pricing where headcount changes by site, and confirm the billing currency: Mitti bills in AUD in Australia and New Zealand and in USD elsewhere. For EcoOnline, get named EHS, Chemical Manager, Sypol, Control of Work and any ESG items, with assessment support, migration of existing chemical inventories, integration and renewal as separate lines. EcoOnline's own comparison page advertises unlimited power users without additional per-user fees; confirm which product, territory and contract that applies to. Its suite brochure describes EcoID sign-in with two-factor authentication or SSO and a YuzeData partnership for integration scoping, which does not establish a ready-made connector for your systems, so name each interface and who maintains it.

    Where the two scopes differ

    The guide above says to decide on the chemical workflow first. The records add what each side can prove about offline work, which is the other place where the two diverge. Mitti documents offline use in its mobile app after content is prepared and synchronised, with a published list of features that stay online. The EcoOnline record qualifies disconnected work differently: the EHS brochure describes continuing after the connection drops, having started online, Chemical Manager carries a separate qualification about losing the connection, and the eCompliance material advertises offline operation. The record also says current detailed support instructions for eCompliance could not be retrieved.

    Regulatory outputs are the third difference. Mitti documents OSHA Forms 300, 300A and 301 from an investigation. EcoOnline's US guide says an OSHA 300 log is populated as incidents arrive from the field, attributes this to the EHS software without saying which module, and is silent on the 300A, the 301 and electronic submission. The EcoOnline record also lists a Control of Work group with permit to work, including hot work, contractor management and access control, which Mitti's record does not list.

    Integration language differs in kind. The EcoOnline record cites EcoID sign-in with two-factor or single sign-on, a managed integration partnership, a Box upload of eCompliance PDFs and an ESG offering powered by Ecometrica. Each is conditional in the record: none establishes a ready-made connector for your systems. The Mitti record ties integrations to the plan and a full seat.

    Mitti is the safer first demo when chemical inventories and COSHH assessment are handled elsewhere and the problem is paper inspections and the actions that follow. The Mitti record documents a free plan and a 14-day Premium trial, while the EcoOnline record establishes neither, so a team can run a real template on Mitti before any proposal.

    Start with EcoOnline when

    EcoOnline is the safer first demo when chemical records are part of the purchase. Ask the vendor to say which product every demonstrated step belongs to, because the record separates EHS, Chemical Manager, Sypol, Control of Work and the ESG software, and warns that having an SDS library does not make a workplace assessment suitable.

On EcoOnline request a vendor environment and ask for the exact app. Then test a cold start without a connection in EcoOnline's EHS app, since its record describes continuing after an online start rather than starting offline.

    Week 2, the specialist path. If chemicals matter, retrieve a safety data sheet in Chemical Manager, then ask what a COSHH assessment request through Sypol needs from you and who reviews it. If they do not, spend the week on the OSHA outputs: produce the logs from a test establishment in both and compare them with your recordkeeper's files. End with a first-year price for the same scope.

If chemicals are in scope, ask Mitti to demonstrate any chemical workflow under the quoted plan before relying on it, and have EcoOnline show how a Sypol assessment is reviewed against the actual task.
    Can SafetyCulture be used for incident investigations?
    Mitti documents an Investigations feature that captures incident details and evidence, records root-cause analysis, assigns corrective actions and produces a PDF report. Only full seats can create investigations, and custom investigation statuses and fields are Premium features.     EcoOnline's US eCompliance pages describe ISO and OSHA inspection and audit templates, incident and injury form templates and read-only access for auditors; its OSHA compliance guide (May 2026) says OSHA 300 logs are populated automatically as incidents are reported from the field, but the pages reviewed do not describe Form 300A or 301 output or electronic submission.
