    Array (BuildArray)

Array turns paper checklists and incident reports into mobile forms that can be completed offline and sent automatically on reconnection, with conditional logic, signatures, photos, video and GPS. Tasks, workflows and files come with the Pro plan; API and webhooks with Enterprise.

    Evidence: Researched profile

Built from vendor sources checked ; AI-assisted drafting. Documentation review, not a hands-on test. How pages are made

    Who is Array (BuildArray) for?

Teams of up to 10 users digitising their own inspection checklists and incident forms, including offline field capture, without a specialist EHS system; larger teams need an Enterprise quote. Safety content comes from templates and your own form design; there is no built-in investigation, risk register or CAPA module. Published plans cap users at 4 (Essential) and 10 (Pro), and queued offline forms lose media deleted before sync.

Worth evaluating for small teams that know which checklists and incident forms they need and want them offline on phones at a published per-user price. The 30-day trial makes a pilot cheap, but there is no free plan and published plans stop at 10 users. Teams needing investigations, risk registers or corrective actions out of the box should compare dedicated EHS tools, or budget for Pro to get tasks and workflows.

Published price: Essential $30 per user/month, billed annually, up to 4 users. Free trial documented. Sources checked .

    Capabilities and scope

Array is a general mobile forms and workflow platform, now at array.so (buildarray.com redirects; the footer reads Array Group Inc.). Its terms name the contracting party as Launch Cloud LLC (dba Array), a Delaware company, so confirm the entity on your order form. It runs on web, iOS and Android with safety templates, but it is not a dedicated EHS management system. Forms with logic, functions, signatures and media; Docs (generated documents); Reports; Tasks; Workflows; Files; Workstation; public, embedded and QR-code forms; Bluetooth thermometer integration; integrations such as Google Drive and Procore; API, webhooks and Buck Ai on Enterprise; SMS and WhatsApp sending and extra public submissions as add-ons.

Array's health-and-safety page says a submission can generate detailed reports and notifications, while live dashboards track completion rates, incident trends and compliance status. The page does not state the plan or configuration required, so demonstrate these functions in the quoted tier.

Offline forms and automatic sync documented; media must stay on device

Array's app pages and help say responses are stored on the device without a connection and sent automatically when it returns; a Status page shows queued forms and storage. Forms must be downloaded first, and changed forms need a sync. On Android, a photo or video deleted before a queued form syncs is dropped from it.

    What we could not verify

    6 depend on scope

    Demo script

Proposed demo: offline site inspection to assigned task

    1. Sync an inspection form to a phone, go offline and complete it with photos, a signature and GPS.
    2. Reconnect and check the Status page until the queue clears, then confirm the media arrived.
    3. Let a failed item create a task for a supervisor on the Pro plan and follow it in task reports.

Proposed demo: public incident report by QR code

    1. Post a QR code for an incident form that visitors can submit without an account.
    2. Use conditional logic to ask follow-up questions for injuries and alert a manager by email.
    3. Export the submissions and generated documents for the incident file.

Proposed demo: multi-site inspection dashboard and paid-channel escalation

    1. Submit the same inspection from several sites with a mixture of completed, overdue, safe and threshold-breaching responses.
    2. Confirm that the live dashboard shows completion rates, incident trends and compliance status, then drill from each aggregate figure to the underlying submissions.
    3. Trigger the activated SMS or WhatsApp add-on only for the threshold-breaching response, verify that the safe response sends nothing, and record recipients, delivery evidence and any usage charge.

Ask the vendor to show you

    1. Change one of our inspection forms, then show how a device that was offline receives the new version and what happens to drafts on the old version.
    2. Complete a form offline with photos and video, delete one photo from the gallery before sync, and show what the submission contains.
    3. Build an incident form whose logic escalates serious answers to a manager task, and show it on the Pro plan rather than an Enterprise trial.
    4. Log a temperature from our Bluetooth thermometer model in a food-safety check; is it one of the supported models or a custom connection?
    5. We have more than 10 field users: what does Enterprise cost, and how are the public-submission limits handled when we exceed them?

    Checks specific to this product

    Team size and submission volume:
Count field users against the 4-user Essential and 10-user Pro caps, and monthly inspections and public reports against the submission limits, before choosing a plan.

    Questions the sources answer

Does Array work without a connection?

Yes for forms already on the device: responses are stored locally and sent automatically when the connection returns. Getting new or changed forms requires a connection and a sync.

Can we get our data out if we leave?

The terms give a 14-day grace period after termination, on written notice, to download uploaded data; later requests may be refused.

    Is Array an EHS system?

It is a general forms and workflow platform with safety templates and use cases. Investigation, risk register and CAPA processes would have to be built from forms, tasks and workflows.
