    TrueContext

TrueContext supports mobile forms and guided field workflows connected to back-office systems. Evaluate an actual inspection, its offline submission and the receiving system together; the configured process and licensed integration tier determine the useful scope.

    Evidence: Researched profile

Built from vendor sources checked ; AI-assisted drafting. Documentation review, not a hands-on test. How pages are made

    Who is TrueContext for?

Field-service teams connecting asset inspections and technician records to established business systems. Confirm integration entitlements, administrator ownership and synchronization procedures. Configurable forms do not establish a complete quality system, equipment calibration or regulatory compliance.

TrueContext may justify its scoped price when field inspections need a maintained connection to an existing service or business system. It is less suitable for a simple checklist requirement without the budget or ownership needed to configure and support those handoffs.

Watch for: REST API requires Intelligent or Elite and a scoped integration. Offline submissions require successful synchronization before reaching back-office systems.

    Capabilities and scope

TrueContext is the current name of ProntoForms. Official API documentation retains the api.prontoforms.com endpoint for existing integrations. This profile concerns configurable field-service forms and workflows, not a complete manufacturing QMS or measurement instrument. Mobile forms, field workflow execution and configured system handoffs; integration and advanced capabilities depend on tier and proposal.

    Configurable field workflowsDocumented by vendor

Low-code forms and guided field execution are described; the buyer must define and maintain the process.

    Offline form captureDocumented by vendor

Forms can be completed offline; server receipt requires subsequent reconciliation. The pricing page says every feature works offline, but the reconcile documentation requires the app on screen for delivery; confirm in writing.

    Submission deliveryDepends on scope

Foreground online reconciliation is required; local Outbox records are not proof of destination receipt.

Integration scope must be specified by connector and tier; marketing breadth does not establish an included implementation.

    REST APIDepends on scope

Pricing and technical documentation place REST API access in Intelligent and Elite. Technical documentation restricts it to server-to-server use; scope the integration in the proposal. The pricing FAQ's all-tiers wording conflicts with these two sources.

A 14-day free trial is documented for the AppExchange package, not established for every general trial request.

Separate device submission and server receiptDepends on scope

Date Sent on Device records submission into the Outbox. Date Received on Server records upload receipt; offline or failed transfers can separate these events.

Refresh on Form Open updates one form and related data; unlike reconciliation, it does not send device submissions to the server. Configuration can warn or block when updates cannot be obtained.

Conditional and repeatable form logicDocumented by vendor

Logic can alter later questions or sections from earlier answers, including within repeatable sections. TrueContext advises testing rules under varied conditions before deployment.

Dispatched and follow-up field workDepends on scope

Work can be dispatched with prefilled context through portal, CSV, API or a destination; API and group options are tier-dependent, and follow-up dispatch creates a separate record.

Submission approval and correction loopDepends on scope

On eligible tiers, approvers can claim a record, approve it or request changes; resubmission returns it to pending approval. Confirm permissions and approver pool.

    Audience-specific submission documentsDocumented by vendor

A submission can generate PDF, Word or HTML documents with separate field and layout choices; delivery still depends on the configured destination.

    TrueContext pricing

Digital entry plan; higher tiers quoted

Digital starts at $400 per month for the entire team, billed annually; the pricing display does not explicitly identify the dollar currency. Intelligent and Elite use custom pricing. Confirm team limits, currency, setup, add-ons and renewal terms. The current pricing matrix and technical documentation place REST API access in Intelligent and Elite, not Digital. The pricing page's own FAQ says all tiers include the REST API, which conflicts with its plan matrix and the API documentation; obtain the entitlement in writing.

Pricing sources checked : Partially verified. Targeted pricing and REST API recheck: the pricing page is now readable and agrees with technical documentation on Intelligent/Elite API eligibility. Other profile findings retain their earlier source dates.

    Offline work and integrations

Offline form capture is documented. Reconciliation requires a network connection and the mobile app in the foreground; submissions can remain only in the device Outbox until that succeeds. Prepare current forms and lookup data before disconnecting. Reconnection alone does not guarantee background delivery. Conflict to confirm: the pricing page says every feature works offline, while the reconcile documentation says delivery needs the app open and on screen; ask TrueContext which statement governs your plan and workflow.

    Demo script

Proposed demo: asset inspection to service record

    1. Choose an existing asset identifier and dispatch the inspection.
    2. Capture a defect with the required supporting information.
    3. Send the completed form to the named receiving system.
    4. Prove record matching, failed-delivery handling and the next responsible owner.

Proposed demo: offline submission and recovery

    1. Reconcile forms and lookup data before disconnecting.
    2. Complete a representative form offline and inspect its Outbox state.
    3. Reconnect while keeping the app in the foreground.
    4. Verify receipt and destination delivery before removing the local record.

    Proposed demo: controlled form revision

    1. Publish a revised inspection with a changed required field.
    2. Show how an existing device learns about the revision.
    3. Compare disconnected and reconciled device behaviour.
    4. Export the submitted record and identify its version and review requirements.

Ask the vendor to show you

    1. Show the purchased tier and written connector entitlements, including Intelligent or Elite for REST API access.
    2. Complete our inspection without connectivity, then prove successful foreground reconciliation and receipt in the destination.
    3. Identify who maintains forms, mappings, failed deliveries and version changes.

    Checks specific to this product

Identify the administrator responsible for form rules and changes.
    Offline readiness:
Verify preloaded forms and data before disconnected work.
    Delivery evidence:
Distinguish local completion from received and routed records.

    Questions the sources answer

Is TrueContext a complete manufacturing QMS?

That scope was not established. Evaluate configured field forms separately from document control, manufacturing quality, calibration and validation requirements.

Does reconnecting automatically deliver every offline submission?

Do not assume so. Follow the documented foreground reconciliation procedure and verify server receipt.

Does Digital include the REST API?

The pricing matrix and API documentation say no, while the pricing FAQ says all tiers include it. The matrix and documentation place it in Intelligent and Elite. Confirm the selected tier and server-to-server integration scope in the proposal.

    Is there a free trial?

The platform invites trial requests. A 14-day free account is explicitly documented for the Salesforce AppExchange package; do not transfer that duration or scope to other evaluations.

Does a completed form prove compliance?

No. The organization must define suitable controls, review the evidence and meet its own regulatory and operational obligations.

Does the submission timestamp prove that the office received the form?

No. The device timestamp can exist while a submission remains in the Outbox. Compare it with Date Received on Server, then separately verify delivery to the intended business system.

Does refreshing a form also upload queued inspections?

No. Refresh on Form Open checks the form and related data, while reconciliation handles sending and receiving submissions. Demonstrate both the offline freshness policy and Outbox delivery in the proposed configuration.
