    Fiix

Fiix connects maintenance work orders with asset history, inventory and reporting. Its CMMS page also describes exchanging maintenance information with other systems. Assess the end-to-end job and stock records in the proposed subscription, including the mobile preparation and synchronization needed in areas with unreliable connectivity.

    Evidence: Researched profile

    Who is Fiix for?

Maintenance teams that need connected work-order, equipment-history and spare-parts records. Mobile work is not visible in the web application until synchronized. Plan a recovery procedure before relying on disconnected records for operational decisions. API and SSO require Enterprise, additional fees and customer-side implementation responsibilities.

Fiix merits evaluation when equipment history and maintenance stock must stay connected. Budget against the required multi-site and control features, and include a mobile synchronization exercise in the pilot.

Watch for: Multi-site and purchasing needs can require Professional or higher. Some enterprise integration and identity options carry additional costs. Logging out before synchronization can discard local changes.

    Capabilities and scope

Fiix is presented as a Rockwell Automation company. This profile covers Fiix CMMS, not the entire Rockwell Automation or FactoryTalk portfolio. Fiix CMMS, mobile maintenance and plan-dependent multi-site, purchasing, audit and integration functions.

Integration and enterprise controlsDepends on scope

Audit trails and e-signatures are listed at Enterprise. Integration Hub, custom API, the app exchange and SSO are Enterprise add-ons with separate commercial and implementation scope.

    Offline synchronizationDepends on scope

Local changes need successful synchronization before they appear in the web app. Logging out with unsynced work can lose that data.

    Fiix APIDepends on scope

The API requires Enterprise. Fiix documents 1,000 calls per day per user licence, no database connectors and no troubleshooting or UAT support for customer applications that consume the API. Validate objects, permissions, retry design and support ownership.

SSO and indirect MFADepends on scope

SSO is Enterprise-only and supports SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Fiix does not provide native MFA; MFA depends on the customer's compatible identity provider. Setup and yearly platform fees apply.

    Security assurance statementsDepends on scope

Fiix states AWS hosting, encryption, permissions and SOC 2 Type 2 audits. QHSEtech did not inspect the report; request current evidence and verify the contracted service and region are in scope.

Maintenance analytics and audit-ready reportingDepends on scope

Fiix describes real-time dashboards, more than 100 report templates, work-order audit history, drill-down filters, exports and scheduled distribution. Analytics availability varies by plan; validate KPI definitions, permissions, source-record traceability and delivery settings in the quoted tier. The pricing page shows a Foresight feature under Professional and a separate Fiix MAX AI-assistant add-on (contact for pricing); confirm what each covers and whether it is in the quoted tier.

    Usage-based maintenance triggersDepends on scope

Fiix documents asset meter readings that can trigger scheduled-maintenance work orders at an interval or threshold. This is unavailable in v6 Equipment and requires scheduled-maintenance access; CSV-imported readings do not trigger meter-based maintenance. Fiix says more than one reading with the same unit cannot be logged on one asset. Validate the deployed version, permissions, meter model and supported ingestion path.

    Offline work and integrations

The mobile app supports disconnected work with local records and media that synchronize after a stable connection returns. Unsynced updates are absent from the web application. Official help warns that logging out before synchronization loses local changes; verify preparation, sync status and recovery before a shift.

    Demo script

Demo exercise: maintenance finding to reconciled records

    1. Create a sample inspection finding and a follow-up maintenance order.
    2. Assign a technician and reserve the required spare part.
    3. Record work on a disconnected device, then verify synchronization in the web application.
    4. Inspect the resulting asset history, stock record and export; demonstrate correction of an incomplete order.

Demo exercise: work-order history to management report

    1. Complete representative preventive and reactive work with labour, parts, downtime and failure-code data.
    2. Build a filtered dashboard and trace one cost, PM-compliance or MTTR result back to its underlying work orders.
    3. Correct one source record, verify the audit history and confirm the updated result in a scheduled export.

Demo exercise: meter threshold to generated maintenance order

    1. Configure a sample asset meter and a scheduled-maintenance trigger at a known interval or threshold; record whether the schedule is fixed or floating.
    2. Enter a reading below the trigger and then a threshold-crossing reading through a supported in-product method; verify that the expected work order is generated once.
    3. Repeat the threshold-crossing input through the proposed production ingestion path, including CSV if planned, and record any path that does not generate maintenance.
    4. Inspect the asset meter history, generated work order and next trigger value; repeat on the proposed Equipment version and with intended technician and planner permissions.

Ask the vendor to show you

    1. Which tier includes our sites, preventive schedules, purchasing and audit requirements?
    2. Can we inspect the mobile cache and prove every work update has synchronized?
    3. What procedure prevents losing unsynced records during logout, upgrades or device replacement?
    4. Which connector, API and identity options are additional charges?
    5. Can we export the order, attachments, stock movements and change history together?

    Questions the sources answer

Is Fiix the same as the full Rockwell Automation portfolio?

No. The reviewed scope is Fiix CMMS. Hardware, other software and integrations need their own licensing and implementation scope.

What happens if a technician logs out before syncing Fiix?

Official mobile help warns that unsynced local changes are lost. Confirm server receipt before logout and agree procedures for upgrades and device changes.

    Does Fiix provide native MFA?

No. Fiix documents MFA through an Enterprise SSO connection to a compatible customer identity provider. SSO setup and yearly platform fees apply.
