The QHSE Software 2026 Industry Report

What vendors publish about 212 QHSE, EHS and ESG software products, and what buyers cannot verify

We read the cited vendor pages behind 212 researched product profiles, 2,820 sources in all, and recorded what each vendor publishes about price, trials, offline use and capabilities, checked 28 September – 11 October 2026. Where the sources did not settle a question, the report says so rather than guessing.

    Findings

Each finding states its base and the dates the evidence was checked. Shares are rounded to whole percentages, so groups may not add up to exactly one hundred.

    1. Most products have no current price on record

79 of 212 researched products (37%) have a current amount on record under the site's Published-price rule, which counts an amount quoted from the vendor's pages or another public listing unless the evidence calls it legacy, unverified or not current. 65 of them (31% of all 212) can be read as a price with a plan, unit and billing period. Of the other 133, the reviewed vendor pages show no amount for 122; they show no current amount for 7, where an older or third-party figure on record is not current; and 4 offer a free plan without a paid amount. Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

      Base: 212 researched product profiles · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    2. A published amount is not always a usable price

Of the 79 products with a current amount on record, 65 can be read as a price with a plan, unit and billing period. For the other 14, the evidence could not settle the currency, the billing period, what the amount buys, or whether it is a current tariff. Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

      Base: 79 products with a current amount on record · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    3. Per-user pricing is common but not universal

24 of the 65 readable price schedules (37%) charge per user or seat throughout; the rest charge per site, per device, per package or organisation, or use more than one unit. 9 state a minimum purchase (user minimums from 3 to 25). Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

Base: 65 products whose published amounts can be read as price points · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    4. Currency is often left to the reader

34 of the 65 readable price schedules state the currency for every amount; 28 show a dollar sign without a currency code, and for 3 the denomination was not established. Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

Base: 65 products whose published amounts can be read as price points · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    5. A free trial is documented for a minority

A free trial is documented for 50 of 212 products (24%). 40 offer a trial or demo on request without a documented free self-service trial. For 122 (58%), whether a free trial exists was not established from the reviewed sources. Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

      Base: 212 researched product profiles · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    6. For most products, neither a price nor a free trial is documented

120 of 212 products (57%) have neither a published price nor a documented free trial; 37 have both. Of the 120, the reviewed vendor pages show no current paid amount for all of them; 26 offer a trial or demo on request, and for 94 whether a free trial exists was not established. Pricing/trial observation dates 19 September–11 October 2026.

      Base: 212 researched product profiles · checked 19 September – 11 October 2026

    7. Offline classifications cover a stated subset of the catalogue

100 of 212 profiles have been classified for offline operation. Of those, 40 document an offline workflow and 52 a partial one; for 6 offline operation was not established. The other 112 profiles were not classified. Checked 28 September–11 October 2026.

      Base: 212 researched product profiles · checked 28 September – 11 October 2026

    8. About half of capability statements hold without conditions

Of 2,450 capability statements across 212 profiles, 1,297 (53%) are documented by the vendor for the reviewed scope. 1,044 (43%) are documented but depend on the package, edition, configuration or an add-on, so the quote decides whether a buyer gets them. 104 (4%) could not be verified in the reviewed sources. Profiles checked 28 September–11 October 2026; targeted rechecks recorded to 10 October 2026.

      Base: 2,450 capability statements · checked 28 September – 11 October 2026

    9. The evidence base

212 product profiles, 2,820 cited sources (median 13 per profile) and 2,450 capability statements (2,350 with a source URL). General profile checks 28 September–11 October 2026; targeted record updates through 10 October 2026. 79 profiles cite at least one vendor help-centre or documentation page.

      Base: 212 researched product profiles · checked 28 September – 11 October 2026

    10. Product names and owners change

The identity notes of 31 of 212 profiles record a rebrand, rename, acquisition, merger or a product replaced by another, each quoted and linked to a source. A buyer or a reference that uses an older name may not lead to the current product. Checked 27 September–11 October 2026.

    Pricing

Two outcomes are kept apart throughout. The vendor does not publish: the reviewed vendor pages were searched and the item is absent. Not established: the sources we reviewed did not settle the question either way. The status follows the wording of each profile's pricing evidence. 'The vendor does not publish' needs the evidence to say that the reviewed vendor pages show no amount, or to record a quote-only pricing model with no amount; where it says that no amount was established or verified, the status is 'not established'.

Published-price rule. A product counts as having a published price when its pricing evidence quotes an amount from a public source and does not describe that amount as legacy, previous, unverified or taken from a page that could not be read. The source is usually the vendor's pricing page, but can be its help centre, price calculator or template store, or a public procurement listing, so the amount is not always an entry price for the whole product; the readable-price count says how many can be read as one. A free plan on its own is not a price.

    • Of the 79 products with a current amount on record, 65 can be read as a price with a plan, unit and billing period (65 of all 212, 31%); 14 cannot.
    • 9 of 65 readable price schedules state a minimum purchase; stated user minimums run from 3 to 25. A minimum is counted only where the vendor's page states one; no stated minimum is not evidence that none applies.
    • Other units found among the mixed and package schedules: connected supplier, emission unit, form, metric tracked, product profile.
    • Caveats attached to readable prices: the amount covers another scope for 4, calculator defaults for 3, a mandatory extra without a price for 2, and a set of separately bought modules rather than tiers of one plan for 2.
Why 14 amounts on record could not be read as a price
    • The Starter amount appears only in the help centre, not on the current pricing page, and the other amount is for a sensor device.
    • The amounts are examples of one-off document prices in a template store, not a software price schedule.
    • The amounts are the Dashpivot prices on the shared Sitemate pricing page, which the Dashpivot pricing page already carries.
    • The evidence could not tie the displayed amount to a billing setting or a currency.
    • The home and pricing pages show starting amounts for seven modules and four offers without a billing period, term or currency name, and price the audit offer differently ($500 and $300).
    • The only amount is a range on one UK procurement-framework listing, which the evidence says is not a general starting price.
    • The only amount is a standalone mobile app subscription, which the evidence says is not a price for the suite.
    • The only figure is an approximate annual range from a comparison page, not a tariff.
    • The pricing page shows starting amounts for three plans without a billing period, term or user count.
    • The public pages require contractual reconciliation before a normalized price can be stated.
    • The published Core threshold does not establish a billing period, recipient allowance or purchase minimum.
    • The same page shows conflicting figures, which the evidence records as observations rather than a payable rate.
    • The vendor's own pages disagree about the single-AED price: the pricing page lists $9.50 per month and another page says one AED is free.
    • The vendor's pricing page shows two Premium seat prices, one per billing toggle, and the amounts carry no period label or currency.

    Name and owner changes

The identity notes of 31 of 212 profiles record a rebrand, rename, acquisition, merger or a product replaced by another, each quoted and linked to a source. A buyer or a reference that uses an older name may not lead to the current product. Checked 27 September–11 October 2026.

Included: a change of name or owner that the profile's identity note records as an event (a rename, rebrand, acquisition, merger or combination, a separated business, a product retired or its web address redirected to another, heritage names mapped to a current product), quoted from the note and linked to a vendor, acquirer or merger-partner page among the profile's own sources. A statement of who owns a product today, with no change recorded, is not included.

Each statement is quoted from the profile's identity note. The list covers the researched catalogue only; it is not a survey of market consolidation.

    How the figures were produced

    Population
The population is every product profile in the researched catalogue. The catalogue is not a random sample of the market; it covers the products the site lists. The commercial partner is counted like every other profile.
    Observation windows
    Profiles checked 28 September – 11 October 2026; targeted rechecks 19 September – 10 October 2026; commercial review 19 September – 11 October 2026; offline classification 28 September – 11 October 2026.
    Sources
2,820 cited sources (2,813 distinct URLs), median 13 per profile, range 8–25. 2,638 (94%) are on the vendor's listed website domain; 494 are help-centre or documentation pages, cited by 79 of 212 profiles. Citations not on the vendor's listed website domain are mostly the vendor's own help centres, documentation and release notes on other domains, plus app-store listings, a public procurement listing, a certificate register and acquisition announcements. Research is based on vendor documentation, not hands-on testing.
    Capability statements
2,450 statements, median 11 per profile, range 7–60; 2,350 carry a source URL.
    Evaluation notes
1,243 evaluation dimensions on 212 of 212 profiles, and 1,271 questions to put to vendors. Change logs on 110 of 212 profiles.
    Commercial review
Pricing and packaging check complete for 105, partial for 53 and not done for 54 of 212 profiles (19 September – 11 October 2026).
    Reproducibility
One script computes every figure on this page, in the PDF and in the CSV from the research records, and fails the site build if any of them drifts. Data fingerprint 00d9a03e35078014.

    Limits

    • The catalogue covers the products the site lists. It is not a random sample of the market, so the shares describe these profiles, not every vendor.
    • The research reads vendor documentation. It is not hands-on testing and does not measure whether a product works well.
    • "Not established" is a statement about the reviewed sources. It does not mean the vendor lacks the item; it means the evidence did not show it.
    • The published-price count follows the site's Published-price rule: an amount quoted from the vendor's pages or another public listing counts unless the evidence calls it legacy, unverified or not current. It is not always an entry price for the whole product, so the readable-price count is given beside it. A quote received privately does not count.
    • The counts use each profile's trial status. The catalogue's older yes/no trial flag also says yes for some products whose trial is offered on request, so it can show more trials than the verified-free count. This applies to 12 profiles.
    • Vendor pages change. Each count holds for its observation window; cite the window, and use the profile's own date for a single product.
    • Offline operation has been classified for a minority of profiles; the offline shares describe that subset only.
    • No vendor is ranked. Categories and products appear in alphabetical order.

    Disclosure

The QHSE Standard is Dimitris Mitsios's personal project, not a company. Tekmon, where Dimitris works in marketing, pays for sponsored placements; they are labelled and sit apart from the documented-match ordering. The site receives no referral fees.

The commercial partner's profile is counted in every total exactly like the others and is not named in the findings. Corrections: send the page, the claim and a primary source.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is an email required to read the report?
No. The findings, tables and method are on this page, and the PDF and the CSV dataset download directly. The email form is optional.
    What does the report measure?
What vendors publish on their own websites and documentation about 212 QHSE, EHS and ESG software products: entry prices and how they are charged, free trials, offline operation, the conditions attached to capability statements, and changes of name or owner. Evidence was checked 28 September – 11 October 2026. It is not a buyer survey, a market-size estimate or hands-on product testing.
What is the difference between "the vendor does not publish" and "not established"?
"The vendor does not publish" means the reviewed vendor pages were searched and the item is absent, for example no amount and a request-a-quote form. "Not established" means the sources we reviewed did not settle the question either way. The two are counted separately and never merged.
    Can I reuse the data?
Yes. The CSV is published under CC BY 4.0. Credit: The QHSE Standard (qhsetech.com), The QHSE Software 2026 Industry Report, evidence checked 28 September–11 October 2026, CC BY 4.0.
Is this a ranking of vendors?
No. The report counts what is published across all researched profiles. Categories and named products are listed alphabetically, and no product is called best or ranked above another.
Who publishes the report and who pays for the site?
The QHSE Standard is Dimitris Mitsios's personal project, not a company. Tekmon, where Dimitris works in marketing, pays for sponsored placements; they are labelled and sit apart from the documented-match ordering. The site receives no referral fees.
